Another Rainy Weekend

Another rainy weekend means time to delve into other endeavors like cleaning and cleaning....and cooking!

So, last night we had some Aloo Gobi ( an Indian Cauliflower and Potato Curry Dish- I add spinach and onions to mine), homemade naan, and mango lassis (a refreshing yogurt drink)!  Unfortunately, none of my ingredients came from the garden, but they soon will!

Speaking of the garden, I had some time to do various calculations and determine the overall cost and specific breakdown of my farming expenses thus far.  I figured I could share them with you to give you an idea of all aspects of this project.

  1. Hey! What is your homemade naan recipe? I've always wanted to make it but never have. Sounds like you had a delicious meal. I love the picture you have of the birds on your most recent post. I can't wait to see your tomatoes when they are full grown :)

  2. Hey! The naan recipe I used comes from allrecipes.com and if you click the word "naan" in my post it should take you to the recipe I used. The only change I sometimes make is to add fresh or dried cilantro to the dough before frying it. Also, I fry them on a griddle which helps speed up the process. It certainly makes delicious naan! It is so easy...just takes some time! Thanks for the comments, keep em coming :)
